I think the best way to get into the rest is just find something fanmade you like and start consuming it. There are plenty of high quality music arranges, doujin videogames, h and non-h doujins, to start immersing yourself into the world, lore and characters. If it clicks, or course. No need to force yourself to like them, but if you do, then there is a huge, neverending mountain of content to consume. That is some of the biggest appeal, regardless of what you like, there is something 2hu related out there similar to that.
Also this board is fucking awful to get into 2hu discussion. People here constantly have a stick in their ass and if they see something they don't like they go on autistic rants all the time. That has been the norm since before your bunch even got here, by the way. I can only recommend the niche generals and maybe some draw thread where people are having fun instead of mindlesy waifuposting for once. What I'm trying to say is, if you want to discuss 2hu, this is not the place. It's stale and full of people that have closed their hearts to anything they are not familiar with. I've had better 2hu threads on /tg/, /a/ and even /v/ than the average /jp/ 2hu thread. The only place worse that I can think of is the /vg/ thread.
