the effect in general is called the tetris effect (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tetris_effect)), not sure why it's always a negative event happening (in this case sinking ships). when it happens to me, i know it's a dream, but i can't get out of it. maybe training lucid dreaming again would help.
