Miyuki wakes up, with the apocalyptic event that she saw being just a dream. Now, alongside Chisame, she sets out to prevent that ruinous future.

So, it seems like the whole dying -> wake up from a dream mechanic from the Syndrome stories is also applicable to Mei's main plot.

Anyway, this probably means we'll see Une rather quickly sine it's just finishing the story rather than starting a while new set up.
