Hey /jp/, my girlfriend and I are both learning Japanese, and are thinking about going over there to teach English. But more than anything, we don't really know what we're getting into.

Is living in Japan a good idea? How bad is the xenophobia towards gaijin in the more rural areas of Japan? If I don't live in Tokyo, will I still need to pay out the ass to find a place to live?
Is there anyone here who's lived in japan who could share their experience?

I also have another thing to ask, the person being screwed in that picture is a girl. How is OP gay if it is a girl getting screwed? You should really think before you type something. Spell-check would also be a handy tool for you.
