i think lucle rides the razor edge line between proper drama and soap opera sadwank, sometimes it drifts to either side. problem is the longer you walk that line the more chances to fall, and man, kamimaho and istoria really push their luck on that front
i still really like how his stuff comes out as a whole, though. lots of character thoughts and headspace, and i love me that stuff. let me marinate in the MC's unhappiness.
