if you only added 5 cards a day you wouldn't feel like that
anki is very beneficial if you only keep it at 5 new cards daily
reviews never exceed 5 minutes or so
anki becomes too easy and fast to even want to quit
and you're still getting a steady drip of new words and kanji every day
