I think vampire knights should remain dangerous, but fairy maids need to be hit with a 200-pound nerfstick. In canon, they were described as being below-par in doing just about anything. Ideally, they should be cheaper, but physically weaker than any human or youkai unit of the same level range, with their major selling point being on-field regeneration allowing them to tank just about any ranged attack that doesn't instantly kill them. It better catches what SDM is: a whole bunch of set dressing ran by a small contingent of competent individuals who do the real work.
