Where would my legs be amputated?

Because I don't mind if under the knees, I could deal with it if it's mid-thigh or lower, but wouldn't go for it if they were to be completely removed.

Actually I maybe would.
I don't like my feet very much, and I tend to... maybe not fetishize, but romanticize? losing them.
There's a lot of problems with prosthetics though, so it's not like I'd go through with it... probably.
