From Hongfire: (hidden fight stat?)

Last time I switched characters, I saw my tall Calm one tear into my main char and knock him down. I was proud and mortified. Good job! but ugh, why me, and why the hell would I be fighting with my favorite girl? And how does a 9th rank tennis expert beat a 1st rank kendo expert? Yeah, I forgot tennis in my tentative breakdown of strength/speed by sport.

So I reloaded and went through a few trial fights, 3 rounds as my main (Yuuki) against tennis player Calm, switched to Calm against Yuuki for 3 rounds. Yuuki won all 6, so it's unlikely there's an advantage for the active character.

2nd rank in Athletics is Empress with volleyball, so I tried her next, again 3 rounds from each character, again won all 6.

The top fighter in the school is an Affable baseball player, again won all 6.

Tried the perfect kendo student, again won 6 times.

And just for fun I kicked the shit out of Manly 6 times.

I don't know if Athletic ranking has an affect by itself, or it's just a display for some hidden stat comparisons. Either way, I'd predict that if you're at the top of leaderboard, you're probably the most capable fighter, but could still lose to randomness.
