There are many things I dislike about the fandom but they are things that seem to be endemic to every fandom; shipping triggered by ridiculous shit, completely missing the point/atmosphere of the original work, stupidizing characters for fun, etc.

Now, if there's one thing that really bothers me in particular it is Alice's characterization outside in the fandom.
Here you have a cold, lonely, sarcastic, calculating, even creepy character that's been reduced to a retarded deredere bitch for the sake of shipping and I think that's just fucking insulting to the character of Alice.
And it's not even as if they needed to make her like that for her ship with Marisa to work with how Marisa usually behaves.
