He's both's. It's not explained further, but Hou Yi was definitely married to both Junko and Chang'e, in some way or another.

Not that this does anything to prove this dumb schizo theory, but the Hou Yi thing isn't a contradiction.

Junko was the one who murdered her husband in the first place, as revenge for him murdering their son (Bofeng), and also wants revenge on his wife Chang'e for the same reason, since she's supposedly responsible for it too to some extent (due to a vague "evil gift"), and anyone trying to shelter her
She's certainly not going to worry about any loyalty to her late husband at this stage, if she can even remember him.

Chang'e's husband (Houyi) is Junko's husband. He was either two-timing or married one after the other.

There are no indications so far that Houyi shooting down the sun had anything to do with Junko or her son's death.

This misinformation came about when information about LoLK was vague soon after release, early speculation about Junko's myth where she was thought to be another figure who was the mother of the suns, and confusion with Hecatia's own reason for hating him and assisting Junko.

Keep in mind they later said they were still working on updating it. 1.40 is still being worked on. We won't know for certain until any future patches come out and she's still not in it.
