Rosa likely wouldn't believe such things would do anything to change Maria, especially since she knew how being bullied by her siblings affected her in life, never mind what a full-on rape would do. She's keenly aware of how trauma negatively affects a person, and how Maria would probably end up being even WORSE if she made such a thing occur. However, if she saw Battler treating Maria nicely, being a good cousin, noticing how close they are, there's every chance she might start thinking about ways for him to help out Maria a little. George is unreliable, and she doesn't know nearly enough about the servants to trust Kanon, but Battler, a trustworthy reliable nephew, would no doubt be good for Maria. So, if Rosa got twisted enough in the head to decide she needed to take more dramatic action to help Maria grow up, she might start trying to push the two of them together, leaving the two of them alone all the time, going about her life as usual, knowing that at some point Maria might realise her womanly nature while with such a juicy example of masculinity, and that the ensuing relationship might help her mature a little. And who knows? If Battler's a good enough catch, then he might be good for HER as well...
