These are shit easy maps, who care if you do 1damage less. The problem come in event maps where 1damage is basically the difference between you throwing a tantrum and punching your monitor to jizzing on the new trophy girl.

Obviously it depends on how you equip your boats. Everyone play differently. But generally max the equipments that you will use. If you are going to run hotels over monkeys or kusou class in combined fleet then there is no point in upgrading fit guns since they get no bonus for them.

Also you rarely miss in night battle so the important thing for CLT is +firepower. All those kitakami choke video you see could be prevented with max out firepower guns or torpedos. Apparently there is also unconfirmed report of 20.3(3) giving night battle bonus so who knows.
