Fabric dolls do not have the same problems because TPE and Silicone dolls have high stress areas at the joints where it is being constantly pulled and pushed apart while being heavy.

Whereas lightweight fabric dolls do not have thick TPE/Silicone to compress/stretch at the joints and are fairly light.

Everything has it's fair share of pros and cons.

I personally would still go to TPE/Silicone because of the tactile feel and weight.
