For the pic in question, I think it's cute. It's like she's trying to pander to the rest of the UFO cast by playing at something they'd enjoy, even though she's not all that into it herself. Very much the behaviour of a mother hen.

Then when they all go to sleep, she pulls her hair back to its natural state and reverts to the quasi-Buddhist sex goddess she's meant to be. And that, I am quite okay with.
