Yeah, and it's really not a good thing for either them or us.

I know CFM is a software company by trade, not a talent agency, but event marketing 101 says it takes time to build up hype. If you only announce something major like a concert tour a few months out, you're not going to be able to get the word out quickly enough.

And to add to that, Crypton is horrible at marketing events in NA. I consider myself a moderately big Miku fan, and I would have never known about the Expo if not for /jp/. There was no advertising or anything. They should have bought ads on NND, YT, Pandora, and SoundCloud, just to think of a few places.

Sometimes I wonder if CFM should, at least for North America, hire an actual concert production company instead of trying to in-house everything. Their failure to advertise effectively, their choice of too small a venue in NY, and the debacle in Monterrey makes me think as hard as they might be trying to make it work, they need domestic professionals if they want to run these things effectively in the future.
