Well when i said to pay closer attention i was referring to her noticable lack of merch. she still has some, it's just few and far between. a couple of plushies, a couple of figs, a cupoche, a nendo, beer glasses. it's almost nonexistant. i remember the kemono friends cafe last summer took until august to even roll out kaban beer steins and pint glasses. If i was a betting man, which i am, i would say all the kaban merch will increase in value exponentially in the next few years. not the nendo or the figma, but all the other stuff.

but it was apparent from the beginning of the KF marketing machine that she was being ignored intentionally.

i was going to write a third paragraph about how mc's aren't thrown aside like this usually, however look back as far as evangelion or even to steins gate now, where the male mc's are just there to talk to all the pretty girls. i guess i don't know what kind of point i'm making, but it seems unusual for a show about cute girls to ignore the mc who is arguably the cutest of them all with her paper airplanes and love of crappy singing.
