>A particularly haughty and 'fresh' Witch takes center stage. She'd been human once, seduced by the lure of the Sabbath and then seduced once more by what she saw as the greater potential of this heretic cult.
>She was power-hungry and the congregation was aware of it. The greedy pursuit of strength by humans was considered virtue, not vice, as it allowed them to increase their numbers and influence.
>Gathering the crowd's attention she produced a glass bottle of bubbling teal brew and then gestured for her Familiar. The Familiar took the signal and wheeled in something large human-shaped in magical chains and set upon a small wagon.
>"Here," she began, "I have a tremendous achievement. A complete and total improvement upon the archaic transformative potions that we have relied upon for far too long."
>She continued as the crowd murmured. "We can shorten a man's limbs, yes...and we can soften his face and and give him the appearance of youth but that's all, isn't it? A physical transformation...a poor replacement, I'd say. But no more!"
>She unshrouded the figure on the wagon and revealed a large, grim-looking man clad in shoddy armor. He glared meanly at her and his eyes were fierce but not as fierce as the deep, gruesome scar that seemed to split his scalp.
>"Here," the Witch spoke, smugly patting the bound man on the cheek, "We have Rufus the Scarred...notorious bandit..." Her eyes narrowed. "...scourge of man and monster alike."
>The tone of the crowd changed. Suddenly the bandit felt a great, malevolent pressure about him and he almost began to panic. His name wasn't unknown here, he realized, and the group was not favorable towards him.
>The Witch, sensing the enmity in the air, raised a hand and cleared her throat. "Normally, this man would be nearly irredeemable! He's cruel and he's violent and his mana's...rotten! Change his looks all you like he'll still be...THAT...underneath it all. Aha, but no more!"
>She proudly held her new potion aloft and gave a confident, heel-clacking strut around the bandit. "This is not a transformation potion, no no. Far more advanced, this draught is purely chronomantic in nature."
>She now commanded the gathering's interest, especially those in attendance particularly well-versed in magic. The Baphomet's expression in particular lit up with curious energy.
>The Witch held one hand on her hip and bounced her potion in her palm. "No skin-deep transmogrification, no...this potion will make the real thing, not some imitation. His body, his mind, his memories...even the man's very soul reverted back to a state that is pure...innocent..." Her smile widened. "Vulnerable."

Shortstack ojous should know better than to be haughty. It's a one-way ticket to being impaled on man meat.

It's all fun and games until he finally meets the Dark Mage or Baphomet whose magical knowledge/experience makes him look infantile in comparison.
