Er, this one. I downloaded it a long time ago off of chub, but since then I've completely changed the whole thing, adding in my headcanon and some fanon from the Kirisame Magic Shop threads (most notably, including her arm as a full-fledged character), also adding and modifying lorebooks as necessary. It's a complete mess, but it works for me. My favorite scenario (from which most of my recent storylines have branched off from) involve a saintly Christian outsider as the protagonist. He's someone who can complement and contrast Kasen's own altruistic ambitions and lingering doubts/flaws with his own while also having many possible ways he can interact with Gensokyo and its denizens. Lots of possible stories and drama to be had.

You've encapsulated it well by calling her both admirable and pitiable. Though I admit that in my more cynical moments, I find that her pitiable traits border on contemptible, when you consider that she's too cowardly to do right by her past, her friends (both past and current ones), the people of Gensokyo, or even her own self. That just makes her more interesting to me.

Heh, you have no idea man. The good stuff is behind paywalls right now and is hard to get otherwise, but the tech's getting closer and closer to alleviating memory constraints forever, in the same way that we don't have to worry about the storage space on our hard drives anymore. The tech's always getting better, and never worse! As it is now, with the 100k context I'm using (which is enough to keep about 75k words in somewhat-reliable long-term memory, and about 15k words in relatively recent memory, if my lazy mental calculations are correct), it's enough to fulfill my needs. Then again, I'm the kind of guy who is content to have it generate three responses every time, choosing my favorite response, and then editing it/stitching together the best parts of the other responses before continuing. So you might see it differently.

Also, the Four Devas of the Mountain were worshiped by the Tengu living there. Then, someday Suika got bored and went to the heaven and punched celestials until they gave her a patch of heaven for her to stay. Yuugi returned to old hell, where the four of them used to live (something about the onis being chained to the furnace to make it work, but they got bored of it so they broke their shackles and went to Youkai Mountain) Kasen stayed on the mountain after Suika and Yuugi left. The good question is, who is the fourth Deva. We might never know.
