Gawr Gura. Lemme tell you why Gura is the greatest.

1) She has one of, if not THE cutest design amongst the Hololive girls.

2) She curates her online persona EXTREMELY well. She’s the only one in HoloEN who hasn't shown any signs of emotional openness. Calli has her insecurities about her fans giving her SC's, Kiara has her troubles with finding her niche, Ina has broken down when talking about how she is inspiring others to pick up their hobbies again, and even Ame came close to tears talking about how we should find our own slice of happiness. There is still an emotional disconnect between Gura and her viewers. But most people just want to see cute girls doing cute things without being TOO emotionally involved, and she a master of that. Case in point, she also does not interact much on her social media compared to the other Hololive girls, instead just retweeting artwork and posting her weekly schedule.

3) Her memability is unmatched, the simplest way to explain this is that Gura is a mix of Pekora's comedic genius with Korone's ability to produce clippable moments. The "a" moment being the most obvious example.

4) She is INCREDIBLY aware of meme culture which makes her very relatable. From referencing City Pop to Deja Vu to the banana scale, it is very evident that she is well-versed in memes. Basically, she's the Youtube recommendations personified.

5) Her selection of games. I saw another comment mentioning that she is very good in choosing the games that she streams. She knows what gets the views. Minecraft and horror games are click magnets compared to slower-paced games such as Fire Emblem and Superliminal. Horror games are also good streaming games as it's kinda like playing with a friend, so the scare factor is lessened compared to playing them alone. Also, she does not play games that require a high barrier-to-entry in terms of skill such as FPSes.

TLDR: She's a master at knowing what works and she well-deserves her subscriber count.
