Any japanese speakers that know if the artist doing stuff for Plus got the boot? Some of the new stuff can't be from him, and a few of the newer portraits changed their style as well.

One of the new .map files that you can open with the elona.exe medit command. You can check the modified dates on the files in the Map folder usually to find out if new locations have been added, and that one was added a while ago. I had just thought that you couldn't get to it yet, but because the Castle of Ice was actually available from Noyel, I was wondering if the lab map was reachable from somewhere too.

It might be possible to make something excellent with fusion, but there's still some sort of limit to how much you can put on an item. You can also put cores and the craftable resistance/other effect items on uniques. The huge roadblock on the way to powerful items is the fact that Gain Attribute scrolls are fairly rare. If there's a better way to find them than as a random drop, that'd be a different story.
