Well, I've finished Nie no Machi.

The art style itself is cute, but the anatomy was pretty bad. It was painfully "just okay" story and writingwise, all of the routes had problems, some more serious than others. The routes that I found most interesting to read were Koko's and Naruomi's. The bad endings did deliver, as promised, my favorites being Mio's and Naruomi's because they were the nastiest. I never would've imagined that out of all the boys Naruomi (Mio not included on account of being a literal monster) would end up being the one doing the eating. The sex scenes were fine aside from them being pulled out of nowhere at times, I didn't care for them very much except for in the bad ends. I can't rank the boys very well because I like them all for very different reasons, but, ignoring the actual contents of the routes, I think I like Asuku the best. I was always happiest to see him when I was going around doing the other routes.

I think Hisora was a fun protagonist. He was oblivious in a cute way, and though he was stubborn and hotheaded sometimes, he was always ready to jump into action instead of standing at the sidelines. He was extremely virgin-y and naive, but he wasn't a prude and was also perfectly fine with the idea of having sex with men. It wasn't like "Oh no, we can't do this, we're both men" or anything like that. Big points for having a deep voice, too.

On the note of actual voice work, I enjoyed Irakusa doing Mio's everyday silly voice, but thought he was too hammy during the serious parts. I thought Hisora and Naruomi's VAs also did a nice job, massive points to Hisora's for sounding very natural and being good at moaning cutely. Akari was actually disgusting, but I liked how hammy he was. I also really, really liked Sata's voice. It was really calming. I don't remember seeing his VA listed anywhere, does anyone know who he is?

Overall: 6.5/10 because I'm picky about story
