Whatever Beatrice's motive was, I don't think she genuinely planned to kill everyone if they didn't solve the epitaph, despite what she told the parents. I don't see Battler accepting and forgiving Beatrice if her purpose was "kill everyone because of you, now let's go to the golden land!" because that's crazy and at odds with his reaction to his sin in Ep4. You pity crazy people, you don't forgive them of attempted mass murder (...unless you're in Hinamizawa).

I don't think Beatrice intended to kill anybody, but at the same time she did not plan to survive the conference herself. I suggest everything she did after the parents found the gold was a suicide attempt that went wrong when the family started killing each other, rather than an attempt to incite them into mass murder.

>And nothing would have happened if Battler didn't come back.

This hasn't been confirmed. It's one of the things that wasn't repeated in red.

He's "one of the causes," and Beato doesn't repeat the second part in red. What we instead have is "Because of your sin, people die. Due to your sin, a great many humans on this island die. No one escapes, all die."
