>So you recognize that this new thing is faulty by nature
If there were 365 days in a year with absolutely no other changes, then yes, it would be boring. Not even really imbalanced, because the only thing that would affect anything is farming getting locked for 3 months, but farming isn't the only way to earn money. (or hell, just make a glasshouse upgrade to enable farming during winter) But that's not what's being discussed. The entire point is to expand the year to allow time for more special celebrations and to make each more unique by lasting longer, like 2, 3 days. Preparation, the event, cleanup, all the while you're free to engage in the festivities. Think Halloween. A week for Easter. That would incentivize people to work on events just for it, which would in turn make users look forward to it instead of just glancing at the one line denoting a special day and grinding the same skills and the same date spot as the previous day.
>band-aid
It would solve everything and even allow players to have a non-cheating way of speeding up pregnancies.
You failed to mention that giving the player control over pacing of the game actually solves your potential long-term problems, why?
>Like every other season?
I see what you're doing. How about you adress the entire point instead of trying to target a sentence out of context?
It lasts too short to create unique events for winter only. That's the point of having a longer year, to make dealing with winter matter, make people look forward to it. Like I said, it's not fun only if a coder is determined to make it not fun.
>He really doesn't know. You barely play this game do you.
I don't know what you're trying to pull by twisting people's arguments into shitposts? Can you understand English? Do you not understand what I meant? Realism for the sake of realism doesn't apply if the mechanics that arise from this realism are fun or engaging.
Overall, I know that you're just making a low effort shitpost without even trying to explain anything, but these answers should convince anyone else who bothers to read my post.
