Girl found miles from her home in Kumamoto

Local police in Kumamoto say a girl was seen floating in Kumagawa during the intense flooding brought on by historic rainfall. Onlookers said that she appeared to be wearing a floatation device as she was swept away from town toward the ocean. Hours later workers on the beach found a girl resting on the shore just outside of Kumamoto. They could not ascertain if it was the same girl seen earlier as she was not wearing a floatation device and denied that she was wearing anything more than the clothes she had on. The girl was brought home to her family. It is not known how she ended up getting caught in the flooding or how she survived. Locals said that the flooding was likely to subside soon as they had heard the sound of crows returning to the neighborhood.
