Psychologically, Shirou and Gilgamesh are actually the same person. Shirou is when he's depressed. Gilgamesh is when he's happy.

The person in question is probably Nasu himself.

In this scene Shirou uses traced weapons to break Gilgamesh's real weapons. So are Gil's weapons permanently broken or can the Gate of Babylon reset itself, for example after Gil returns to the throne of heroes.
