She's the leader of one of the alliances established in the Animal Realm, a ruthless place where only the mighty conqueror rule over the others. She's the leader of eagle spirits. Humans are at the bottom of this world and summoned Keiki to aid them which is the whole story of 17 (kickstarted by spirits going outside the Animal Realm claiming they intend to invade the surface too which prompts the protagonists).
But Yuuma's only mentioned in that game, perhaps because she doesn't bother when she herself isn't bothered. But in 17.5, Okina causes oil to leak in some convoluted scheme to attract attention to Yuuma who tried to claim the place as hers. Everyone has a go against Yuuma and it all largely fails because Yuuma's ability is to absorb anything. It would take Flandre, hired by Okina, to beat Yuuma, given that she can't absorb Flandre's ability to destroy anything, and for Okina & Yuuma to come to an agreement of keeping things underground & maybe safer that way.
Some of the stuff about 17.5 i'm less sure about it's a little convoluted and I played that game untranslated, only checked later. This all translates into Kirby with a spork that gets drawn with Flandre, Okina, or the 2 other gang leaders Yachie & Saki.
