Logically Gensokyo wouldn't be much better than our world. Simply put, humans in general have a very "grass is greener" attitude but once you find yourself on the other side, you often find it worse than what you imagined.

Gensokyo wouldn't have many of the things we take for granted in reality. Electronics, power, technology etc. Living there as a normal human would be very rural, you'd be forced into working for a living in order to stay alive. This would depend if you had a practical education however. If you were smart with good social skills (and...seeing as this is /jp/ none of us fit in that catagory) you could probably rise fairly far in social status.

If anything, you'd be better off choosing a world where it's more possible for commoners to turn into heroes.
