I can agree here - that they serve the same purpose. The only difference is he doesn't yet realize how hollow he is in this one.

I'm still not sure how much hope I wanna put in RG - alot of the great atmosphere is missing in the main parts. Blacked Out Moon does show that they still *can* get the horror right, but will they?
I'll wait till after Ciel since it contains a significant schizo part, need to see how that's handled (I spoiled myself on remake chair and was very disappointed).
But yeah even if it fails atmosphere/horror wise, I've alot of hope towards the gore/actual fight parts, so at least a part of it is near guaranteed to be great.

I don't think he'd mention being stuck between them otherwise, and he does say he was sloppy - maybe he was simply so into it, he didn't slice the lines and just cut at random?
