How do I get good? In what order should I beat the games?

I was finally able to get past Reimu on IN on normal without having to continue.
Yeah i had to continue at Reisen but the point stands.

If you had to wear one Touhou's costume for the rest of your life, which one would you choose?

hi /jp/! i'm brand new to playing touhou games. i've read through touhouwiki to learn the basics and i'm starting off by playing perfect cherry blossom. i have some questions that i didn't see addressed in the wiki, though:

- shooting: do i just hold down z constantly, or should i do it in short spurts? in all the videos i've seen of people playing on advanced levels, they generally just hold it down the entire time, but i don't know if the gameplay on easy/medium requires that.

- character choice: who are, generally, the best characters to start off with? medium speed, medium amount of bombs?

- hitbox: when you started off, did you hold down shift so you could get a feel for the actual size of your character?

any other opinions/tips/personal experience would be great, thanks~ :3
