Storywise it is a solid 9/10
They found a way to make it possible that every possible Gensokyo that every fan and doujin circle can image could be real. Your Gensokyo that you have in your heart is just as valid real as anyone else's, but because it will always have at least one element that is "Lost", it is incomplete compared to the true Gensokyo. In the game this means, for example, that there is a Gensokyo where there was no Reimu, and it explores the way changed the world and led to a broken Marisa driven mad. There are an infinite number of these Gensokyos that have lost a Word and you, the player, are traveling with the true Gensokyo's Reimu and company through these different worlds and helping them find what they lost so they can heal. You are a key of sorts that makes it possible travel between these world.
Evidentially before any update or event is released it has to have Zun's full approval so even in these parallel world Gensokyos there are characterizations consistent with Zun's vision. There are moments where the English translation starts to bother me though.

Gameplay ranges from 3 to 8/10
Most of the game can be played on autopilot with meta units, but when you get to the tower all that goes out the window and you will be kicking yourself for not leveling all your characters and learning their kit inside and out. The Tower is unironically great and requires that you have intimate knowledge off all the options you have and how the mechanics interact with each other in order to clear it efficiently and quickly. It also allows you the opportunity to test your team and card layout against the floor you are challenging free of cost and as many times as you want until you are confident you have found the perfect solution with the Friends and Cards you have.

As for the gacha elements of the game they are pretty forgiving. Most of the characters enter the general pool with the exception of Fes, and Super Fes friends. You will gain enough of the drawing resource to spark one banner a month easily. To MLB your friends you will be able to earn five of the limit breaking item each month which is enough to MLB a base character with no additional copies. The exception to the above stated is the Super Fes friends or which one has been released on Global and three total on JP. Super Fes friends require 1250 of the gacha currency to spark as opposed to the 750 all other banners cost. They also require a special form of the limit breaking item which can only be found in the Tower or through extremely rare giveaways.

As for the game sticking around I don't really know. Global was looking like they were trying to milk the whales and run for a minute by releasing meta characters and a Super Fes friend way earlier and fast than they probably should, but they have eased back on that and are bringing over gameplay content that they probably wouldn't if it was a simple cash grab like Tower and Arena. JP version seems to be going strong even if the main missions are being released at a rather slow pace.

You should probably just collect the gifs. They are really nice and you don't want to end up like the bread anons.
