Akebono's captain was unjustly blamed for the damage done upon Shoukaku during the Battle of Coral Sea by Rear Admiral Takeo Takagi, as a way of avoiding blame himself. He's the reason she calls admirals "shitty". Afterwards, Akebono was pulled back from front-line duty for nearly the rest of the war.
