I did some research about Rushia's sudden popularity.

Apparently, there was this meme circulating on Facebook about Rushia-Virus. It went viral among many anime groups, but especially among the flips.

But... guess who was among the ones who spread and popularized the meme in the first place? The official Hololive page themselves.
