"勉強するのように" is 14 mil results as per >>46291177

They are both common grammar, not sure why your point is. The same thing happens in either case. の changes ~する into a noun, but is often omitted in casual japanese. Instead of arguing about shit that doesn't matter how about you read a LN or some shit
