You know what? Truth is, I don't like blondes. Especially not stereotypical dumb blondes. I value scholarly pursuits and high education. I find most cheeky brats nothing more than annoying. And coincidentally, blue is my favorite color.

But Satoko transcends all that. Satoko is love, Satoko is life.

I trust my love for Satoko. It has never led me astray in life.

>Could you try to re-arrange the theory so that is cronologically consistent
I even fixed some dumb things.

the 'Satoko is a good girl' theory 2.0 . It obviously doesn't cover everything we've seen so far but sounds pretty plausible to me. Potentially still has some weak points.
>Satoko is the second looper
>Satoko doesn't know Rika can remember her deaths
>The beginning of the episode 16 is shown out of order
now how it goes:
>In all the previous arcs Satoko was doing everything to make things right, In Onidamashi she was pretty close but they both fucked up, Rika by telling K1 to trust Rena and Satoko by doing something off-screen that enabled Rena to go berserk. Satoko kills Rika and then herself in the same way. Why? because she's a good girl.
>Watadamashi happens, Rika goes missing because they both tried to influence The Twins. Satoko goes to the mansion to look for her and gets domed.
>In all the arcs after that she is trying to create the perfect world without much success, surely Rika's actions involved here
>then Hanyuu disappears
>Rika starts to spawn closer and closer to the festival day but it's only because of Hanyuu's power becoming progressively weaker, no malicious force here
>Rika now can remember her deaths but Satoko can't hers
>Both still take actions, the lack of coordination only makes things worse. We only see the outcome which is actually quite random (Kimiyoshi going mad on 21st), no one is tormenting Rika on purpose
>The river episode happens, Rika doesn't spawn at the moment she wakes up, she has been there for days as the river thing happens right before the festival. She should've spawned between 10th and 12th of June. Why does she ask where she is? IDK, maybe because she had a fucking heat stroke.
>when she cries, she does it out of happiness because she's finally found the happy end fragment after all that shit from the previous episodes, it only looks like she does it out of PTSD because of the context
>The fragment is going well but Rika can't believe it
>She remembers Hanyuu's words about the sword and confirms the second looper
>She confronts Satoko who still thinks Rika can't remember shit so she just pulls the gun out to restart the timeline, Satoko thinks Rika finding out was an accident YOU ARE HERE
next
>Rika dies but is full of hope because she has a clear enemy to defeat
>she stops counting her deaths
>Satoko DOESN'T know that Rika knows (well, probably)
>I have no fucking idea what happens here but it's tragic as fuck
>We're back to the disemboweling scene, Rika snaps her fingers for the fifth time
Why would Satoko even do it? Because she knows that not creating the perfect world in Hinamizawa will let to a tragic outcome in the future
Why the episode 16 is almost certainly out of order? Everything that happens after the disemboweling scene doesn't make fucking sense, it only looks like it does because it's emotional as fuck. Rika isn't trying to kill herself, there's no thinking of suicide, nothing. She's just weirded out that things go well. She still hasn't snapped her fingers for the fifth time.
Additional point: This scenerio renders multiple answer arcs and the potential second season unnecessary . It also fits the theme of paranoia fucking everything up well and provides everything needed for the final tragedy without any kind of a mysterious mastermind working behind the scenes. What about the shard? Why has the statue been replaced? Who was injecting all those people with H-173? No fucking idea.
