(3/4)
Like nails on a chalkboard, an awful sound emitted from behind Yukari. She turned around to see her gap fluctuate, it’s border oscillating randomly before slamming shut with a bang.
I found a tree to learn again, heaving, I vomited something fierce under the strain the spell had put me under. Thankfully, once I regained my composure, I could see a little touch of surprise was still on the Sage’s face. Seija’s was plastered in smugness.
“So, ah, as I was saying.” I begin again, trying to work past the painful convulsions of my stomach. “As for enemy fighters, most of them have some ‘conceptual ability’. I believe you could counter two, maybe three on your own, and probably have a trap or two prepared for some problem actors, which might work if things were consistent, and if this battle wasn’t going to be an absolute mess.” I explained.
“You’ve become her cheat item.” Yukari stated.
“Not quite spinster, but we are an item of sorts.” Seija said, placing her hand on my head.
“You have monsters in stock, right? People you can control with overwhelming power and confidence in a one on one, they’ll be helpless in a complex battlefield. Not us though.” I say, raising the cursed bracelet up. “Flipping something doesn’t require ‘power’ so much as the right fulcrum. Just like I tore apart the HSE with this accursed thing, people, concepts, directions, we can turn it on it’s head no matter the length or type of distance. That’s why I need answers about your little house’s defenses, I’m at my limit at what intuition will tell me and you’re rumored to be an expert in these types of things. Help me help you.”
Yukari paused again, perhaps this time not just for effect.
“Why are you changing sides?” perfect, she accepted what we had to offer, this was the last hurdle.
“Because I want maximize it.” I told her.
“I’m cursed, doomed to die horribly. So, before that, I want to see heaven on earth and the best way to do that is to make everyone the best version of themselves. ‘What does that have to do with your little squabble?’ You’re probably asking? ‘Why would I turn my back on people you consider family?’, It’s for their sake as well. The outcome of this battle could result in the collapse of our home and even if it doesn’t, I won’t let everyone say ‘it was all Yukari’s fault, now things can go back to normal’ when all’s said and done. All of us are guilty in this disaster. And don’t worry,” I begin, outstretching my arms to both sides “you don’t have to trust me, my deals are absolute.”
“I’ll defend the HSE and in exchange, you’ll teach me about it’s defenses.” I offer.
Seija is uncharacteristically quiet. I can see from the corner of my eyes that her arms are crossed and she’s laser focused on Yukari, who looks somewhat dumbfounded at the moment.
Then Yukari starts to snicker, growing into a chuckle, until she’s full-on laughing.
“Ha! I’ve heard a lot of excuses from all kinds of traitors in my day, but that one has to be the best yet.” She wipes a tear from her eye. “You can’t fool me though; I can see it clearly in both your eyes ‘it’s because it’ll be fun’ right? Pitting yourselves against everyone else in a battle Gensokyo has never seen before and will never see again?”
“Very well then. I’ll accept your deal.” She said approaching me.
Slowly Yukari embraced me tightly and I reciprocated. She felt feeble in a way despite being a great sage, which I suppose was just one of her mysteries. What wasn’t subtle was her body, it was impossible to ignore the mounds pressing against my chest, her wide hips against me, that golden hair laying on my neck, but despite all of this I didn’t feel any sort of lust. It felt more like I was holding up an elderly grandmother who couldn’t stand up to the weight of the world anymore.
“Make yourselves available at mid-day tomorrow. Don’t bother looking for me, I’ll find you.” She said, breaking from the embrace and slipping into a gap.

>This play, the writing is intensifying to a point where we may not be able to contain it.
Why contain it? Let it spill over into the other threads and boards, let the bans pile up in the logs. In the end, they'll beg us to stop.
