Cool, I've always been more into shows than idols, but I can understand the similarities. I don't have many Japanese related stories to share, but I feel like I should give something back. So I'll give you two quick stories of a couple of exchange students I've met.

So there was this Russian girl, Yanina i think, real cute, but a bit too young to be thinking about boys. We had just got out of a mall in Jiantian and it would have been pitch-dark out if it weren't for all the street lights everywhere. She takes out a pair of sunglasses from her purse and puts them on just as we walked outside, I asked her why the hell she was wearing sunglasses in the middle of the night for. She looked at me with a face like I just said the stupidest thing ever and said in a thick Russian accent "It is fashion!"

Another time a lot of us were in a Italian restaurant in Ximen-ding, apparently the Brazilian boy managed to piss off our token Spanish loli and they started a literal food fight in the middle of the restaurant. I'm still surprised they let us come back the next week, hard to believe those two were over 18.
