The Katana is the most powerful weapon to ever be created. Forged from the most the strongest steel in the world it can cut a bullet in half. However it is entirely dependent on the skill of its wielder, which is why people think they're outdated, because no one is training with them the way they used to. It's not like a gun that anyone can point and shoot, killing someone, however the Katana rewards the experienced, and only those willing to delicate themselves to their training. That when can see the the most powerful weapon in the World in action, with Man, and sword fighting as one.

Okay, so I'm just wondering if all of you realise that the Japanese katana would be completely demolished by a European broadsword or longsword. And if the two weapons were in a battle against each other and both the combatants were wearing appropriate armour (the broadsword wielder a set of knight's chain and plate mail armour, and the katana wielder a set of traditional samurai armour) the broadsword wielder would win in that regard as well. Seeing as the broadsword would destroy the Samurai's armour while the katana would barely scratch the knight before shattering.

Just wanted to make sure you all knew that.

So I just ordered a Katana to test the common theory that a Katana can cut through a inferior european sword.

The Katana were made of folded steel and are as sharp as sharp pretty much gets, also very hard, this in theory, should allow it to cut.. or atleast smash another sword into pieces without a chip on the blade.

Rumor also has it that in World War 2 Japanese soldiers went around cutting guns in half and were able to stab into the armored vehicles, sounds a bit untrue the tank stabbing imo, but whatever, i'll try replicate that as well by testing the swords stabbing abilities on steel the thickness of tank armour.

I'll post my results here when the experiments are over and done with in a week or so, so look forward and maybe... I can prove that Japan is superior to the west afterall.
