Regardless if you actually believe in Shanon = Kanon, something is off with Kanon and their relationship.
In episode 2 and 4 they can't find his corpse at all, and in Episode 1 (pic related) he goes all out against Beatrice claiming that he is the 0 on her roulette.

It also works for Episode 6 where Erika proclaims that she is the 18th person/character while Beato and Battler still proclaims that even so there are still 17 human beings.
