Here's an important heads-up before you go full retard by accident: there's permadeath in this game. It's easy to avoid it however, retreat the moment one of your ships gets to red HP, ships can only die if they start a battle at red HP. Continuing a day battle into the night does not count as a different battle.

Oh and do your quests, don't be like the retard who played for a whole month without doing any.
