You have encountered the fat, lethargic Ocelomeh of the local hunter tribe. She does not hunt very well or often because she is so lazy. You have taken her by surprise and thus have the advantage.

Be careful how you proceed...

Part 3 (spoiler alert: no smut in this post, but hopefully the conversation will flesh out the relationship)
>The bell made quiet metal sounds each step we made. I didn't want to pass the time by listening to an unringing bell, so we talked a bit more.
>"So, why did you go hunting all alone?" I asked.
>"We only fight in groups if we're raiding a village. Otherwise there's no point in wasting everyone's time, especially with a journey as far as mine. Why were you alone?"
>"I, uh, got lost." I reluctantly admitted. "I got separated by my reconnaissance party. Hopefully they will find us."
>"What will they do to me? My village will be quite worried." The bell rang as she spoke up worriedly.
>"Since you're apparently not a killer, they're not going to execute you. Most likely they'll imprison you for raiding the villages. Probably interrogate you as well. I don't know if this makes you feel better, but we don't do torture. There are more zealous parts of the Order that do."
>"The Order?"
>"Pretty much the government, military, and church. They worship the Chief God, who I personally think is overrated. They're kind of 'no fun' about some things, especially sex and marriage. Makes me wonder if they're trying to control our population growth, but that sounds dumb."
>She uttered a slight giggle. "Yeah, especially when there are monsters that need to be bred."
>"Need to be bred? Why do you need humans to breed?"
>"We don't produce males. We rely on men to help us populate like all other monsters."
>"So you don't kill humans?"
>"Of course not! Why would you think that?" The bell jingled more as she retorted.
>"Well, one of the first things the villagers asked of us is protection. At best they seem to depreciate you for kidnapping their men."
>"I guess they either didn't tell you yet or chose to withhold that part. We do allow some of our men to visit or return, but they often end up being rejected and just come back. Apparently they don't like hearing about anything great about us as lovers and warriors." The woman spoke dolefully.
>It was really bugging me how she's failing to see the problem.
>"Why can't you just stop raiding them and try to talk to them instead?" I asked.
>"It's a part of our culture. Our religion demands the ravishing of men. We can't just abandon our ways!" She was really starting to speak up, but did her best to not let the bell jingle too much.
>"My religion says monsters are to be feared and destroyed, yet nobody cares that we have kobolds and centaurs running around with suspicious pregnancy cases. The Order does diplomacy with the sand lands all the time, and they're partially ruled by monsters. Cultures change with time, so can yours, even if it takes decades."
>She paused for a moment. I did throw quite a rebuttal at her.
>"Maybe you're right." She mildly conceded. "But how do you propose anything changing?"
>This is where I gave her some of my wisdom "My priest told me that without mutual respect, no conversation can take place. Otherwise it either becomes a shouting contest or demanding. Your culture has that problem, and it's why the villagers don't respect you as people. The situation we're in is a bad example, but this situation has led to a conversation between us because we respect each other enough to talk like regular people. Granted you're tied up and I'm leading you through the jungle with only a small idea of where I'm going, but it's necessary given the circumstances of how you met me. I still respect your opinions enough to hear them out, and so do you."
>"It's not that easy. To give up something so significant in our tradition. All we've ever known is hunting our mates."
>We were getting close. I know that smell of broth and sound of metal anywhere.
>"Perhaps we can think of an alternative. Something that allows your hunting without resorting to harassing the villagers. For now, just keep calm and try to look nonthreatening." I concluded
>"I hope you're right. I hope more that we figure it out."
