lol. because the new generation of girls actually believe in the idol meme. The older generations didn't really beleive in it. They always thought it was something for show or for TV. It was always... "Hey everyone we're idols!*wink wink*". Yuko Nakazawa never believed the meme. Her self awareness at the absurdity of her situation was hilarious though sometimes.

The new generation of girls who joined the new idol wave really believe in the meme like it's a new religion. It still doesn't make them entertaining to watch though.
