OP, have you ever read a visual novel and then discussed the subject with fans of the anime adaptation?

Secondaries are people who don't know what the work is about but pretend they do because they read or saw some distillation of it. If you ask a secondary of VNs, Higurashi is about 'killer lolis' and Okabe Rintarou is just a funny dude who says random stuff to be funny and drinks a lot of Dr. Pepper, el psy congroo ecks dee.

There is just something inherently offensive with someone discussing something you love as something it isn't.

I'm not rich either so I'm not willing to spend 55€ for Kai, even if it's the same price ratio than the first 4 chapters considering the answer arcs are longer. I may get some of the Kai games now though, just to use that sale.

So, how many here did actually pass the first two "boring" novels?

I'm playing Rena's arc now, and i have to say i'm pretty satisfied, it really felt like a new and more complete experience, many thing are less ridiculous (the whole disease thing really feels natural) and there is tons of foreshadowing for the supernatural content (Hanyuu appear in ep VI lol). Also, the cast is really awesome, one of the best i ever seen.
