exactly, I was worried what parents would think about the collection I have built up, they say as long as it makes me happy they don't care, plus its not drugs so thats a plus. I've gotten better at keeping orders down, after payday and having about 50$ left to past 2 weeks, is not a good lifestyle to live. now that I cut back I have a bit more to spend on well, food and some manga.

Do you like it because of the fanwork it generates?
Do you hate it because it distorts the characters you love?

Well, yeah. But the idea I was trying to get across is how do (or how did) the actual normal humans of the human village view youkai. Akyu has the knowledge of several centuries and have several bonds with youkai and human alike. Can the same be said about a normal resident? I suppose it depends on how you view the human view the human village and at what point in time you're trying to display.

Actually, I don't think I've ever seen a doujinshi actually depict the present-day mock danmaku battles between a generic human and a generic youkai. Most seem to take it into the past where humans were fighting for survival, or they prefer to view the modern-day Gensokyo in a much darker light.

Well, guys, that's it. I've pretty much had my fill of absolute idiocy for the day. I'm going to bed five hours earlier.
