Use the ring formation.
You don't need an offensive formation there, because the enemy can't attack if you kill their planes.

Even if Maya-sama doesn't cut-in, the planes are dead every time.

Also, I feel like a fucking scrub for resorting to the barrels so early. But the 14hp just pissed me off so much.
I guess I will try farming Hayasui for a bit.
