I just organically discovered touhou recently (as in found gameplay without encountering the fanbase (with the except of vague reference found on 4chan)) and I'm wondering how a fairly decent one man passion project became one of the biggest and longest lived memes ever. It really blows my mind how this particular game resulted in pic related.
