If you like beer, you owe it to yourself to try a Sapporo. Holy shit this beer is brewed from pure win. Not as big of a fan of Asahi super dry or Kirin ichiban, though. As far as I know, they're mostly lighter colored beers so guinessfags need not apply.

Anyone have any recommendations regarding Japanese whiskey / scotch? I've heard Nikka distillery stuff is good shit but I haven't been able to find it locally. Also, I'd like to find a good sake- the last time I had it I bought bottom-shelf crap and it tasted like dirty feet.

Some of them weren't that bad.
