Battler's face is unreadable, as if he's supressing a lot of emotions at once, but eventually he sighs and says he's going to take a break. Beatrice tries to stop him but fails, and Riyu soon leaves as well. Beatrice grows bored through her lonesome. Riyu finds Battler and a new original song begins playing, this time an emotional piano track, sounds a lot like something from dai or zts. Riyu states that Battler is not good at hiding his emotions, and that he could tell he was struggling with watching the murders earlier. Battler is surprised but praises Riyu for being able to hide his emotions so easily. Riyu claims it's only rational, it's not his family being murdered, but Battler insists on it. Riyu claims it's just being emotionless, while Battler is so honest it almost makes him emotional. While people like him can lie easily, Battler is a good person.

Regarding Riyu:
"This person has reasons of his own to defeat the witch."

First Twilight:
