It makes me wonder how much of it was her growing out of her character and how much it was her actually growing up. Her voice got more natural but also mature in general, maybe she really is that young that her voice is still changing. It really adds to the feeling of journey you go through together with her as she discovers all these new things she's been missing out on and talks about in great detail every week. Subaru includes you into her life so much it's hard to be indifferent once you start watching her more.
