Aki suffered a number of issues soon after her debut and other interferences over the years.
Internet troubles that limited her ability to upload/stream in the beginning, a medical issue that put her out of commission for a few months, acts of god, and the big Youtube Demonetization that killed her momentum because she did a lot of ASMR videos which she had to remove (the same demonetization that ruined Choco). Aki was left behind due to things beyond her control hitting her in succession, and was depressed about it for a long time to the point that too started to impact her performance.

Despite all of that, Aki stayed with it and is one of the more dedicated in Hololive. She doesn't dwell on numbers, just focusing on having fun with what she has and enjoying the slow but steady growth with a very sweet and relaxed attitude. She really likes viewer feedback, as you can see Aki still leaving Likes on new comments in all of her youtube videos. Aki doesn't let anything get her down!
